The owner of Mark Shale clothing stores filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Monday and plans to close all but three of its stores, including its store at the St. Louis Galleria.

About 30 employees at the St. Louis store will lose their jobs at the end of April, said Mike Schutter, the manager of the store who first opened the St. Louis location in 1995.
